Log Jam starts to break loose...

We've just received word that our work permit has been issued. There are still a few more hoops to jump through to get that permit lodged with immigration and finally entry visas stamped in our passports and then airline reservations made (again). But it is good news indeed that the actual work permit has been issued.

Stay tuned for further news. We will be off to PNG...eventually!

Back in December we were informed that our business visas would be issued on January 5. Based on this information the General Conference put us on pre-embarkation status. We both termed our employment and began the packing process. Tickets were purchased and we were scheduled to fly out January 13. However, on January 8 we received word that our business visas had been denied and that we would have to wait for the work permits to come through. This was totally unexpected and came as a bit of a shock! As you can see we were totally packed and ready to go...or so we thought. We have begun breaking into our carefully packed trunks pulling out much needed items and before long we will have to begin the packing process all over again!  In the meantime we are sitting tight and trying to remain patient.  We know that God is in control and He can see the big picture.  We only see a small part.  We trust that in His timing this will all come together.
